Domestic Invented Foot Switch Focal Control for Surgical Microscope

    Abstract We have successfully designed and manufactured a prototype of a foot switch focal control in virtical axis (z-axis) for the Carls Zeiss surgical mircoscope Model OPMI I. Each of components of thist foot switch control in stressed on local availibility, durability, good stability, adequate acurracy and also low cost. We have tested this newly invented foot switch control with the surgical microscope to operate on various eye surgeries, both on the anterior and posterior segments, it proved that the quality and the work of this foot switch control had satisfied all our surgeons.
