Hospital Mahidol university Abstract The central
corneal thickness was measured in seventy for (148 eyes) of Thai normal
volunteers, aged 17 to 76 years, by using optical pachometer (NIKON). The
result revealed that central corneal thickness was Gaussian in distribution
with a mean value of 0.498 m.m. ฑ 0.050 (standard deviation). Significant
right/left eye differences were detected (p < 0.05), but no sex difference
and no correlation between central thickness and age were found.
