Ocular Sparganosis in Lampang

   Abstract Thai male, aged 37 years from Jae-Hom, Lampang suffering from eye irritation and painless swelling of left upper eye lid for 4 weeks. He has no history of eating raw or partially cooked flesh of frog or snake and never applying spit flesh of frog as poultice to wound and sore eyes. The vision are normal in both eyes. Surgical excision showed one sparganum 70 centrimetres long with active movement. Post operative wound healing is completed within few days. The ophthalmologist should pay more attention to any peculiar subconjunctival mass not responded to routine treatment.
