Monofixation Syndrome

ABSTRACT This is a retrospective study of monofixation syndrome in 220 postoperative esotropic patients under 15 year old of age.

Monofixation syndrome is found in 6.37 % of these cases. Of these cases with monofixation synndrome, amblyopia is encountered in 42.86% while 71.40 % has good amplitude of fusion.The post-operative eso-deviation ranges from 0 to 12 prismdiopters where that of the vertical deviation ranges from 2 to 14 prismdiopters. 92.86 % has stereoacuity ranges from more than 800 second of are to 140 second of arc.
