Sympathetic Ophthalmia : A Case Report

ABSTRACT Sympathetic ophthalmia is a rare disease that occurs after a penetrating injury of one eye; Enucleation of the exciting eye within 14 days after an ocular injury can protect the other eye from sympathetic ophthalmia. However, in the case we report herein, the exciting eye was enucleated after the occurrence sympathetic ophthalmia The sympathizing eye showed improvement after enucleation of the exciting eye and corticosteroid administration
