ABSTRACT : With a millimeter ruler, the authors measured the palpebral fissure height (PFH), margin reflex distance (MRD) and levator function (LF) in 539 patients with no history of eye disease. The measurements were done at the primary position (PFH and MRD) and at full downward to full upward gaze without frontalis action (LF). Age 13-60 years, 241 males and 298 females. The mean PFH, MRD and LF were 9.25 mm., 3.87 mm and 13.31 mm respectively.
