Normal Exophthalmometric Values in Thais

ABSTRACT : We used a standard Hertel exophthalmometer to measure the degree of ocular protrusion in 551 subjects who had no history of orbital trauma or disease, endocrine disease, severe myopia, buphthalmos or craniofacial deformities. The subjects ranged in age from 13 to 70 years. The mean exophthalmometric value in male 14.38 mm. and in female 14.16 mm. The mean exophthalmometric value in right eye 14.26 mm. and in left eye 14.27 mm. The mean base is 95.39 mm.
